ANNA ROSE [chewelah, WA – mini shoot]

I’ve heard it said
That people come into our lives for a reason
Bringing something we must learn
And we are led to those who help us most to grow
If we let them
Anna Kendrick + Kristen Chenoweth – For Good
We poked our way through the tall weeds. “I hope there’s no skunks in here!” Anna peeked under the truck. Nope! All clear. This beautiful blue truck sits on the side of the road, on an abandoned piece of property covered in weeds and a few years of dust. There weren’t any “no trespassing” signs, soooo why not?
It was the perfect location for a mini-shoot with Anna to finish up Christmas vacation. Wait, it’s January. And it was 50 degrees. My grandma calls it the “January thaw.” Even though it melted all our gorgeous snow, it made perfect conditions for a quick hour outside!
You probably remember Anna from her senior session this summer – one of the best sessions I’ve ever shot. And these few pictures with an robin’s egg blue chevy come pretty darn close.
She tries soooo hard to be serious. Doesn’t always work out so well…
“Do your Vogue face!”
“Okay, hang on…”

About 20 tries later… “I’VE GOT TO STOP LAUGHING FIRST!”

Thanks for braving the 50-degree afternoon with me, Anna! (“cold” is relative.) And thanks for the lyrics to that Anna Kendrick song. It’s kinda been my new favorite for a while now. Can’t wait to see you in May!!

  1. Oh so lovely! I love those warm winter days when the sun shines through all the dead leaves and such and just makes them glow! (Or in this case, Anna's lovely hair. ;)) Gosh and the colorssssss….o.O
I'm in love with the last one! =)

  2. Ohmygoodness. This girl needs to take up modeling. These photos are beyond perfection, Hannah. They're heavenly. That's all I can say. 😀

  3. Ah, so much beauty! The lighting, location, and I still can't get over her curls. Perfection. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us, Hannah. 🙂
