If you know me at all, you’ll know that I LOVE Instagram. I love the way emotions and colors come alive on a virtually blank canvas. Instagram levels the playing field for professionals and amateurs alike and gives everybody a chance to display style through work instead of complicated web design and extensive branding.
That’s from a photographer’s point of view: from a casual point of view, I love seeing snippets of what my friends’ lives look like. I’m an extremely visual person. I’ll remember the way sunlight hit a not-quite-lime-green wall in an obscure coffee shop years later, or what color sweater my piano teacher was wearing on the day of my midterm, or the basic layout of a city block (this is also very useful for navigational purposes – I can go somewhere once and never forget my way around because I’m such a landscape-oriented-direction-giver).
So basically the best kind of social media I can think of is one that involves sharing images. And just in case you haven’t hopped on the smartphone bandwagon yet, here’s a tiny peek into what’s been hitting the squares lately.
your instagram feed is so beautiful! (also, love your "pin this" button on the pictures!)
