FINALLY got to attend a wedding as a guest, and wo FINALLY got to attend a wedding as a guest, and wow, you guys have FUN! 👏🏼 don’t get me wrong, photographing a wedding is *amazing* - but sitting down and actually watching the ceremony? Dancing with a hot date? Not taking home thousands of images to edit?! Looking cute instead of… hot (in a *warm* way)? Plus I never ever drink while I’m working (like, fun drinks - I drink water lol) so that was a treat on a hot, beautiful August wedding day. 🥂 One of Mason’s “old” Army friends got married this weekend and it was so sweet. So good to see the guys all together, living their best lives. 🤍🥹 The bond they share is special, and all the wives *finally* got to meet (after YEARS!!). We’re so thrilled for Coty + Callie, the new Mr and Mrs!! It was a beautiful day; full of family + friends and honoring to Jesus and the new life they’re starting together. 🤍 And if you don’t believe that I got Mason Acheson on the dance floor, swipe for stalker photo proof from the spectators. #weddingguestlife #honeyimholm #whitebarnranch #sandpoint
ELEVEN 🥹🤍 Zachary is pushing a year… so I ELEVEN 🥹🤍 Zachary is pushing a year… so I should probably share his 11 month photos before he hits his first birthday (I’m not crying, you’re crying)!! The last month saw SO MUCH change in our little dude. He really sprouted (into mostly 18 month clothes) and finally learned how to crawl like “a real baby,” as we say. 🤣 We’re soaking up the last of summer with plenty of lake days (he loves the water) and daily long walks (still a favorite activity). He starts dancing at even the mention of rhythm or song, and is the happiest little friend ever. Everyone who has ever watched him calls him the “easiest baby ever.” We don’t have much baby experience, but I am 100% sure he’s the BEST BABY EVER. #babyacheson
A LOT of new faces here due to a suddenly-popular A LOT of new faces here due to a suddenly-popular reel I posted about my rockstar Dad supporting me through my first triathlon, but I’ve got to make sure that you new people know… I’m a wedding + portrait photographer. 🤣 DEFINITELY not a triathlete. I just happen to have an *awesome* Dad and a penchant for trying new things + working out. Whatever brought you here, WELCOME + let’s be friends!! I’m terrible at following all the advice to find your social media niche, so this is by no means a curated feed (obviously). Definitely not a boring perfect-weddings-only account; just somewhere between pretty professional photos + my everyday life (triathlons, our cute baby, and National Park photos, to begin with). Here’s a photograph from A + S’s wedding to introduce y’all to my work and my wonderful clients. CHEERS!! 🥃🤍
HBD to Mason, who does not appreciate much fuss ov HBD to Mason, who does not appreciate much fuss over his birthdays. 🤍 (but he is worth a *little* fuss, so here’s a pic of the back of his head from our trip to Glacier this summer) #seealltheparks_
NEVER want to forget this day. 👏🏼 My Dad cam NEVER want to forget this day. 👏🏼 My Dad came to be my support person for my very first sprint Tri (the one I did on a mountain bike with ZERO swim prep… that one), and his commentary the entire time was the bestttttt. He came and found me on multiple places along the (20km) bike course and was there from the countdown to the finish line. Some people have asked me why I wanted to do a triathlon after having zero background in the sport… and I think it comes down to just that *I wanted to.* That’s literally it. I wanted to, and have wanted to for a long time. My mom did one before us kids came along and I always thought it sounded so FUN. So when I realized the @cdatriathlon was close and on familiar territory… well, it kind of just… happened. And it lived up to the hype. It was amazing to have the chance to prove to myself what my postpartum body could do (I mean… I didn’t WIN by any means lol). To have the chance to just get out in nature and have fun with my fitness, because fitness isn’t just about what happens in the gym. I loved getting to USE my strengths alongside a bunch of other people who were also (mostly) having fun. So if you’re on the fence about something like this… JUST DO IT (there is a reason that’s such a catchy slogan). You’re more capable than you think and literally nobody cares if your bike is a hand me down, you don’t have the right shoes, and you aren’t wearing a wetsuit or crossing the finish line first. Everyone at these kinds of things is SO supportive and kind. So yeah, if you’re looking for a sign; this is it. Get out there and just have fun. And yeah; here’s to all that; to FUN fitness, to trying new things, and to all the Dads that still come alongside you for big moments, even when you’re over 30 and have a family of your own. #dadsaretheGOAT #tryingnewthings #cdatriathlon #coeurdalene #makefitnessfun
