NEW: In-Home Newborn Sessions

After spending the last decade shooting weddings in the Spokane + Coeur d’Alene area, I’ve found my focus starting to shift. The biggest catalyst for this change was the birth of our son in 2023; his newborn days flew by SO incredibly fast and even though I took *many* photographs of him, I regret not booking a fellow professional to help capture his newborn freshness and our first few weeks of parenthood in the home we brought our baby back to.

So all of that – plus a lot of friends also having babies within the past few years – has inspired me to expand my portrait offerings and branch out into in-home newborn sessions!! These sessions are available to book starting now, January 2025.

As a lifestyle photographer, I don’t specialize in the perfectly-posed, sleepy newborn curl-ups you might be thinking of – my approach is more relaxed and candid. Focusing on those tiny baby details while also focusing on YOU as the new family.

One of the best ways I think I can do that is photographing you and your new arrival in your own space. Nothing fancy, no studio lighting, no professional make-up or retouching – just you two parents (and the big siblings!!), welcoming your baby earth-side in your own way.

I am excited to get the chance to serve even more of you and get to meet your new special additions!!

THE PROS

  • LOTS of new baby snuggles
  • you don’t have to go anywhere (no car seat!!)
  • super relaxed atmosphere
  • all of baby’s comfort measures at hand
  • the ease of your own familiar space
  • siblings can be entertained as they’re used to
  • photographs of your home + your moment in family history
  • can easily add pets and other family members
  • outfit + diaper changes can be easy and endless

THE CONS

  • might have to clean a tiny corner of your house (but only a little bit)
  • works best if your home has a room with good natural light (i.e., a lot of windows if possible).

… and that is literally it. What are you waiting for?
