Visiting ALL of the US National Parks

The United States currently has 63 National Parks, and my husband and I have made it our goal to visit ALL of them. Our timeline is realistic: the end goal is “before we retire.” But as I’m writing this in October of 2023, we have already managed to hit 35 of them, so I think we can safely say we’re running ahead of schedule.

SIDE NOTE: there are a total of 425 units managed by the National Park Service (these units include National Historic Parks, National Seashores, National Scenic Trails, and more… 19 different designations!). These park systems cover over 85 million acres in all 50 US States, DC, and the territories. For the sake of time and sanity, our quest is limited to those areas that have received the designation of “National Park.”
